Melia Hotels International its net profit jumped 28.3% during the first nine months of the year compared to the same period last year, to 139.4 million euros, as the company announced this Monday at National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). On the other hand, andI Ebitda without capital gains of the company continued its positive trend in the third quarter, reaching 425.9 million euros through September, up 10.1% compared to the same period of 2023.

In the third quarter of 2024, the income from Meliá Hotels International amounted to 584.1 million euros, or 2.7% more than the previous year. Between January and September, turnover reached 1,544.1 million euros, up 4.5%.
This growth, as well as operational efficiency obtained thanks to digitization and a new operating model, have made it possible to improve Ebitda margin by 146 basis points during the first nine months and by 262 basis points in the third quarter.

The RevPAR (average revenue per room) increased by 11.9% through September, driven by improving average rates and demand, particularly in the premium and luxury segments, which now constitute 66.8% of Meliá’s operational portfolio and 79, 1% of planned openings.
Digitalization optimized revenues and sales on Melia.com represented 49.6% of sales centralized sales during the first nine months.
The NPS index of customer satisfaction reached 59.6, compared to 53.1 in 2023.
