Members of a popular rock band started a fight on stage: video of the incident

American rock band Jane’s Addiction’s concert in Boston ended unexpectedly last Friday when frontman Perry Farrell attacked guitarist Dave Navarro on stage.

According to a video taken by bystanders and posted online, Pharrell started the fight by intentionally bumping into Navarro, who was playing the song “Ocean Size.”

The confrontation quickly escalated. After a brief exchange of words, a shocked Navarro attempted to calm the situation and distance himself from Farrell. However, a visibly enraged Farrell began throwing punches and running around the stage. Crew members, along with bassist Eric Avery, intervened and forcibly removed the violent Pharrell from the stage.

The reason for the fight was initially unclear. However, Farrell’s wife, Ettie Lau-Farrell, later explained in an Instagram post. Lau-Farrell acknowledged that there was tension and animosity between the band members. She said that Farrell had been upset for some time because he felt his voice was being overshadowed by louder instruments. According to Lau-Farrell, his dissatisfaction was compounded by audience complaints about the band’s poor sound mixing during a concert in Boston. Farrell, overwhelmed by the situation, reportedly “lost his temper” and broke down in tears backstage.

The band responded with a brief apology via Instagram Stories, acknowledging “the events of last night.” They also announced the cancellation of a performance scheduled for the next night in Bridgeport and offered refunds to ticket holders.

Formed in the mid-1980s, Jane’s Addiction is a prominent and influential rock band known for its blend of alternative rock, punk, metal, and psychedelic rock. The band recently returned with its classic lineup of Pharrell, Navarro, Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins. Last July, the band released the single “Imminent Redemption,” which foreshadowed “the next chapter for Jane’s Addiction,” according to their statement.

Earlier, Cursor wrote that Galkin’s concert was almost interrupted by a Putin fan, but the comedian successfully harassed the spectator.
