Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, in an interview with the British newspaper The Times, expressed confidence that there will be no military solution to the Ukrainian conflict. The politician also speculated on how the situation could be resolved in the future.
The only way, according to Merkel, is the negotiating table, where all parties must sit.
“I am sure that at a certain moment, and now those responsible for this must determine that moment, we will need dialogue. “There will not be a purely military solution.” – said Merkel.
Furthermore, the politician called the preservation of Ukraine’s independence an important task not only for Germany but for the entire EU.
