The chairman of the regional representative council (DPD) for the period 2017-2019 added that the number of farmers in Indonesia was very large at 76 million.
Therefore, the person said, farmers need support, and Hkti should go down to the village to pay attention to farmers in the country.
“Farmers are a backbone, and one of the strengths of the country,” he explained.
The person also considered that Sudariono as a decent and clean person in the track record. According to him, the chairman of the Central Java Party Gerindra has adequate organizational experience and field understanding.
Then the chairman of the HKTI Sudaryono emphasized his commitment to strengthen the role of the organization as a strategic partner of the government, as well as protect the interests of farmers.
He also identified some of the main problems in the agricultural sector, such as the distribution of fertilizers that were not evenly distributed, unstable prices for goods and subsidized bureaucracy, which was often not aimed.
“I am a farmer child, and I know very well what farmers feel in the field. So, I will work hard without brakes. I have to have a gapopol for food self -esteem, such as the vision of the President Prabavo, ”he said.
In the future, Sudaryono promised organizational revival with the help of a technological approach, the participation of the young generation and cooperation between institutions and ministries.
“All programs will be successful only if they really concern the needs of farmers at the bottom level,” Sudariono explained.
