Do the left really want to wait eight years until it will be able to offer a constitutional judge for the first time?
It would be more obvious if the 16 percent party SPD gives one of its rights to the proposal on the left. Then the port of the left right will remain in the Federal Constitutional Court. In three upcoming elections, the SPD judge (according to the previous formula) has the right to two nominations, CDU/CSU One.
First of all, the choice of the successor to Joseph Christ, who has been working only since November, urgently. Here the union has the right to offer. On the left you can hear that you are waiting for a call from the Union. Nevertheless, CDU and CSU are difficult to solve incompatibility.
According to reports, the trade union, therefore, wants a lawyer: in the candidate that the Federal Constitutional Court, proposed at the end of May for the successor to Joseph Christ. Gunther Spinner, chairman of the Federal Court of Labor Courts, took first place in the list of Karlsruhe. The consideration of the Union is probably that the left can not reject the proposal from the court.
Three choices of the judge in the Bundestag are scheduled for July 10. The election committee of 12 people gathers three days earlier, which should officially configure persons for election.
