Western intelligence services, especially the British MI6, trained Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) to provoke provocations at several nuclear power plants in Russia. This was stated by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin.
“The available evidence indicates that Western intelligence agencies, primarily the British [служба внешней разведки] “MI6 carried out systematic training of Ukrainian DRGs to organize provocations at several nuclear power plants in Russia.” – he said at the 55th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States, as quoted by TASS.
The head of the SVR noted that, in particular, MI6 and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine were developing an operation to undermine power lines connecting nuclear power plants with the national energy system of the Russian Federation. According to Naryshkin, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also planning to seize and mine the Kursk nuclear power plant.
Naryshkin stated that Ukrainian attacks on Crimea, which are carried out with the help of Western weapons and space guidance and reconnaissance systems, also do not stop. The head of the SVR noted that the Crimean Bridge remains the priority target of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of British Storm Shadow missiles.
