Michel Platini, advisor to the president of the International Association of Football Federations (FIFA) and former president of UEFA, has proposed a fundamental change to the rules of the game.
Oku.Az Michel Platini is reported to have proposed reducing the number of players to 10.
“Maybe we should take one player from each team and play with 10 players. In the last century, they played in teams of 11 men, but at that time, players ran slower than now. They were physically weaker then. So maybe it is not a good idea to reduce the number of players,” Platini said.
It should be noted that according to current football rules, the maximum number of players on a team on the field is 11 people, including the goalkeeper.
