The world of football has received a major blow. Barely three weeks had passed since the death of goalkeeper Gonzalo Gómez when Logroñés Sports Society announced the death of Miguel Ledoa footballer loved and respected for his dedication and leadership on the pitch.

Ledo and Gonzalo Gómez shared more than a friendship. His passion for football began in the careers of CD Berceo and of Balsamisofrom where both joined SD Logroñés, the club in which they made their debut in 2009. Since then, and starting from the Regional Preferential category, they have traveled the path together to the higher divisions, finally competing in the third national category, thus consolidating themselves as references among Rioja supporters.
During his thirteen years in Logroñés Sports SocietyMiguel Ledo earned the title “Eternal Captain,” a nickname that matches both his perseverance on the team and his charisma on the field. Fans still remember his last-minute goal against Deportivo de La Coruña in Riazor, an image that will remain alive in the collective memory of the club and its supporters.
In June 2022the central defender made a difficult decision: to temporarily leave the team to focus on his treatment for leukemia. Even though I intended to play with him again Sports herohis last club, illness cut short this possibility.
