On the sidelines of COP29, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Ken West, President and CEO of Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions.

It was reported that the guests learned about the green energy policy of Azerbaijan and the works and projects carried out in the direction of the development of renewable energy sources in our country. Our attention was drawn to the priorities facing our country in the directions of industry digitalization, sustainability, energy transition and human capital development.
At the meeting, issues of cooperation in the field of transition to sustainable activity in the business environment, the use of renewable energy resources and the application of innovative mechanisms in the economy were discussed. The importance of the company’s experience in the field of modern technologies for energy transition initiatives was highlighted.
The parties also exchanged views on the potential importance of innovative solutions presented by the company “Honeywell” for the expansion of the use of sustainable energy resources in Azerbaijan and the organization of efficient activities in many sectors of the economy.
