The Main Military Investigation Department (GVSU) of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case, within the framework of which it will check information about the mistreatment of Russian servicemen, the Sledkom of the Russian Federation reports.
“A video has been posted on social media showing the brutal treatment of Russian military personnel by Ukrainian militants. To verify this information, the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the crime under Part 1 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of prohibited methods in armed conflicts),” — says the department’s telegram channel.
It should be noted that the head of the Investigative Commission Alexander Bastrykin instructed the GVSU, as part of the investigation of the case, to give a legal assessment of the published information, and if the information is confirmed, to identify the persons involved in the commission of the crime.
This is a video showing several fighters, presumably Russian. They are tied up, their eyes are covered, apparently with tape, and some are lying on the ground. Ukrainian soldiers force one of the fighters to name his unit and shout Nazi slogans. He remains silent, and is then given an electric shock.
