In Russia, military personnel will be reimbursed for the use of a personal car on business trips and vacations, the Russian government’s Telegram channel reported.
“The government has clarified the procedure for preferential travel for military personnel and their family members,” the statement said. “Military personnel, as well as retired military personnel and their family members who are entitled to free travel, will now receive reimbursement for the use of a personal car in certain cases, such as on business trips or vacations. The resolution on this matter has been signed.”
It should be noted that military personnel and retired military personnel are entitled to such compensation in accordance with the Federal Law “On the Status of Military Personnel.”
“But the procedure for reimbursement of expenses for the use of personal transport was not regulated. Until now, military personnel received it only for train or plane travel, presenting travel documents as confirmation.” — explained in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.
They also clarified that “the procedure for reimbursement of expenses for the use of motorized transport will be determined by the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense and other federal authorities where military service is performed.”
