Mishustin spoke about increasing trade between Russia and Kyrgyzstan

In the first half of 2024, trade turnover between Russia and Kyrgyzstan increased by 13%. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz government, Akylbek Japarov, held on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Yerevan.

“In January-July, our mutual turnover increased by 13%.” – said.

During the conversation, Mishustin proposed to accelerate the launch of joint projects in the field of transportation, logistics, industrial and rural cooperation and the digital economy.

“I would like to highlight the useful activities of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. More than 3,500 projects have been financed and new proposals are being developed. “It is important to give new impetus to the work of this fund.” – he added.

Akylbek Japarov, for his part, highlighted the high level of relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. He recalled that the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov plans to participate in the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Moscow on October 7-8 and the BRICS summit in Kazan on October 23-25.
