The winner of the Miss Russia contest and first vice-miss of the world 2015, Sofia Nikitchuk, was detained at Vnukovo airport on suspicion of smuggling gold jewelry worth a total of about 12 million rubles. This was reported by the Telegram channels Tiro and Baza.
According to Baza, he flew to Moscow from Nice in transit through Istanbul. When Nikitchuk was walking along the “green corridor,” airport employees stopped her.
“During the inspection, the inspector noticed the jewelry she was wearing. Nikitchuk showed her his Patek Philippe watch, as well as two rings and a Cartier necklace. “He explained that he did not declare them because they were his personal belongings,” – says the message.
The cost of the jewelry is estimated at 12 million rubles.
