More than 1,300 peopleof all ages, participated this Sunday in the Guadalajara Bike Day, an activity framed in the Mobility Days activitieswhich was originally scheduled for September 22 and was postponed due to rain forecasts.
Despite a cloudy sky, the weather respected this cycling festival, which once again had the collaboration of Caixabank and the organization of the Guadalajara Triathlon Club in collaboration with the Guadalajara City Hall.
It wasn’t a competition. but a journey of ten kilometers who left the Polyvalent Palace at 11:30 a.m. and crossed the streets of the center of Guadalajara, cIt’s a closed circuit on Avenida del Vado, for the little ones.
The mayor of Guadalajara, Ana Guarinos, and the business sector director of Caixabank de Guadalajara, David González, kicked off this test, also encouraging the little ones throughout their journey and participating in the subsequent draw among all participants, up to eight bicycles. and 10 gift vouchers worth 150 euros, to be consumed in hotels and businesses in Guadalajara, as well as copies of the book on the beginning of sporting activity in Guadalajara.

“That sport is healthy and that cycling can also be a means of transport in Guadalajara was the objective of this activity”, as highlighted by the mayor, Ana Guarinos, who appreciated the strong participation of families and thanked the collaboration of the Local Police and Civil Protection to guarantee the safety of the test, where no incidents were recorded.
Councilors Armengol Engonga, Chema Antón, Víctor Morejón, David García and Eva Henche also participated in the award ceremony. In addition, during Bicycle Day, on the esplanade of the Polyvalent Palace, another mobility activity was organized, with an exhibition of skates, by the Guadalajara Roller Club.
