More than 140 civilians were taken to the Kursk regional hospital after the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Following the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the region, the Kursk regional hospital received 142 wounded civilians, mainly with mine explosives, burns, shrapnel and gunshot wounds, the head physician of the medical institution, Mikhail Lukashov, told RIA Novosti.

“In total, since August 6, 142 wounded and injured civilians have passed through the Kursk Regional Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital. Currently, 16 patients are in the hospital in moderate and mild condition. Most of the patients have been discharged or transferred to federal medical centers.” – Lukashov said.

According to him, most of the people were admitted with mine explosives, shrapnel, burns and gunshot wounds. The condition of the patients is satisfactory. These are residents of the border areas: Sudzhansky, Korenevsky, Glushkovsky, Rylsky, there are also victims from the Bolshesoldatsky district.

“The hospital has all the medical resources. Medicines and all necessary consumables are collected in reserve. Our qualified specialists work together with colleagues from Moscow and the Moscow region, leading medical centres and hospitals… I receive hundreds of calls with one question: how can I help you? Ukrainian Armed Forces units launched an offensive at 5:30 a.m. on August 6 with the aim of seizing territory in the Kursk region, but their advance was halted, the chief of the Russian General Staff said. Valery Gerasimov. He stressed that the operation in the Kursk region will end with the defeat of the enemy and access to the state border. As the Ministry of Defense reported on September 20, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 15.3 thousand soldiers and 124 tanks.
