More than 140 speakers gather at the V Symposium of the EL ESPAÑOL Health Observatory

Monique GarciaMinister of Health, is responsible for giving the starting signal to the V Health Observatory Conference organized by EL ESPAÑOL and Invertia, under the title: Spain, leader of a European health policy. The event, which begins this Monday, September 30 at nine in the morning and continues until Thursday 4, brings together more than 140 speakers who will review the Spanish health system.

This fifth edition of the Health Observatory Symposium aims to analyze the situation in Spain and the objective of positioning itself as a leader in European health policy.

It also discusses the national industry’s vision for open strategic autonomy, developments in the European regulatory framework, the evolution of LOSS for Vanguard Health, the patient of the future, environmental sustainability in healthcare, challenges faced by professionals, news for product developers and the digitalization of the sector, among other topics.

An analysis for which we will have more than a hundred speakers, including Javier PadillaSecretary of State for Health; Marina Pollandirector of the Carlos III Health Institute; Maria Neiradirector of the WHO Department of Public Health and Environment; Raquel YottiLOSS Commissioner for Vanguard Health, or Maria Jesus Lamasdirector of the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (Aemps).

Throughout the four days of the conference, the autonomous communities, at the center of attention, will also have a voice. For this they will participate Fatima MatuteMinister of Health of the Community of Madrid; Mary MartinMinister of Health and Social Policies of the Government of La Rioja; Jesus Fernández SanzMinister of Health of Castile-La Mancha, and Alejandro Vázquez RamosMinister of Health of Castilla y León, among other regional representatives.

They will also participate Juan Abarcapresident of the IDIS Foundation; Jesus Pontiuspresident of Farmaindustria; Lourdes Lopezvice-president of Fenin; Jesus Aguilarpresident of the General Council of Pharmacists, and Thomas Cobopresident of the Collegiate Medical Organization.

It will also be time to analyze the evolution of the main diseases that occupy and worry health professionals in Spain. Among them, cancer, obesity and mental health. Experts like Belén Gonzalez Calladodirector of the mental health commissioner of the Ministry of Health; José Antonio Sacristanmedical director of Lilly Spain, Portugal and Greece, or Santiago Palaciosdirector of the Climate and Menopause Chair of the HM Hospitales Foundation.

The Fifth Health Observatory Conference maintains its spirit of collaboration between public and private.
