The Valencia City Hall and the Government Delegation of the Valencian Community presented this Monday the security system on the occasion of the celebration of October 9 in the capital of Turia, which will have the presence of 1,500 national police officers and 400 local police officers during the festive day.
This was confirmed by the Mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, and the Government Delegate, Pilar Bernabé, after the celebration of the Local Security Council, during which a call for cordiality and the celebration of this holiday “a day” was launched. day which unites us all” and which “must take place normally and with party atmosphere“.

This year the Procession of October 9 returns to its traditional route, given that last year the route had to be diverted due to the ongoing works on the Integral Water Cycle in San Vicent Street. Thus, once the Reial Senyera has descended from the main balcony of the municipality, the procession will start from the Plaza de l’Ajuntament and continue along San Vicent Street until reaching the Plaza de la Reina.
