Vi de la Terra Mallorca reports that the Raïm Wine Fest opened its doors this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Parc de la Mar and extended the great wine festival until 1:00 a.m. this Sunday.
On Saturday lunchtime, a small number of family spectators approached the venue to enjoy the large exhibition of wines on offer. 39 wine estates across the island with more than 100 red, white and rosé wine references. A sample of the great richness and quality of the wines made in Mallorca, of which more than 15,000 people were able to taste this Saturday.
As usual at Raïm, there was also a varied gastronomic offer and, as a novelty, three wine and gastronomic workshops, with three pairs of sommeliers and chefs as Miquel Serra and Josep Juhé; Tomeu Arbona and Josep Avellà; and Ariadna Salvador and Georgia Scaramella. The workshops fulfilled their objective: to show the possibilities and nuances offered by certain local Mallorcan grape varieties such as Mantonegro, Gorgollassa, Giró Ros, Premsal Blanc, Callet, from which unique wines are made, which ‘can’t be found anywhere else in the region. world.
The other big attraction of the day would come from live music from a large central stage, inaugurated by Pitxorines, followed by Wine DJ’s, Cacao, the Menorcan group Avalanx, Chitowsky and Aina Losange, responsible for closing the festival. A scene which, from dusk, brought together a large audience of young people, eager to get to know the great wine festival up close and at the same time enjoy a luxury musical program.
The Raïm Wine Fest arrived this Saturday in Palma after two years of touring different cities of Mallorca with the help of the IGP Vi de la Terra Mallorca –Costitx, Deià, Portocolom, Porreres, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, Pollença–. It benefits from the support of Palma City Hall and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment.
