More than 170 NPOs specializing in humanitarian aid required the end of the power distribution system, which has been introduced in gas from the end of May through the so -called gas fund (GHF). The mechanism sponsored by Israel and the United States has created a series of basic from its origin, in which more than 550 people died from Israeli fire.
Document – referring to the non -governmental organization as Amnesty International, Oxfam and doctors without borders – condemns the dismantling of the “deliberate and systematic” at the hands of Israel of the previous humanitarian aid system, the coordinated UN, and its transformation in the “alternative to the controlled by the armed forces”, which violate the “basic basic Humanitarian norms and principles. ”
The signatures determine that more than two million Palestinians are forced to choose between the “hunger or their risk” at four distribution points on. These are militarized spaces fenced and with one access, where the hungry population is crowded.
It is in these areas of the distribution “Israeli forces and armed groups, some, with the support of the Israeli government, systematically open fire against desperate civilians,” the statement collects. Among the deaths are minors and humanitarian personnel who, as they add, are faced with the “lack of vital medical care” in the face of a “destroyed” healthcare system, which leaves many wounded to die bleeding.
The campaign passes after the newspaper Haarets To reveal that Israeli soldiers received orders to shoot against civilians. These mass killings represent “egregious contempt for international humanitarian law,” condemns the signers. All this is produced “under the view of the international community”, which they condemn for “normalization of suffering”, and this is the desire to take measures. “States should guarantee responsibility for serious violations of international law,” they add.
“The humanitarian conditions of the gases are collapsing faster than at any other time over the past 20 months,” the text collects. The continuous explosions of Israel, added to the repeating forced displacement, instrumentalization of humanitarian aid and blockade left the strip in a situation of “almost hunger”, they are censored. “Many families tell us that they look too weak to compete for food diets,” they also condemn the signers.
The manifesto, which, from the moment of its initial publication, has added dozens of new support, claims that the end of the Israeli block over the strip has stopped financing this type of “militarized humanitarian aid programs” and a return to assistance mechanisms controlled by the United Nations, including the work of the agency of refugee refugee (UNS).
Israel announces measures to reduce “friction”
After the almost unanimous censorship of the international humanitarian system, the Israeli army announced on Monday in a statement that the provision of assistance reorganized to “improve the operational response”. This led to the closure of one of the centers, in the south of the strip and its replacement nearby to reduce what Israel calls “friction” with the population.
Other declared measures are the fence and a sign of centers and the creation of new barriers and access points for regulating the “vehicle movement”.
