The system of Emergencies 112 Andalusia attended almost 1,000 incidents for the it’s raining throughout the communitymost (760) in the province of Malaga. This was reported by the Advisor to the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanzwho visited the affected area on Tuesday. In total, they have already been 4,210 people expelled in the province of Malaga due to the advance of DANA. In this sense, Sanz asked to exercise “caution” in the face of a situation “even more than alert and more extreme risk“, warning that “there is still difficult hours“.
During a press conference, Sanz thanked “the awareness and citizen response”, which “led to a situation of enormous complexity throughout our time, thanks to the fact that there was no population, thanks to the fact that many streets were practically deserted.”the consequences have not gone any further for the moment“.
Furthermore, the advisor of Presidency once again asked citizens to “be vigilant, careful, responsible, careful, aware” and to follow each of the messages that 112 officially gives in response to the rains.
Sanz appreciated that thanks to collaboration of everything, “what we have faced so far has been overcome”, but “what remains is still important”, he reiterated, referring to the “key” decisions that are being taken to face to the emergency which “conforms to the worst forecasts, but which even far exceeds the worst forecasts which were initially communicated to us.
This is what he emphasized Sanz during a press conference, where he took stock of the incidents recorded in the region due to the it’s raining; while explaining that “this incidental situation led us to have to face all types of situations and reactions”.
Likewise, he once again insisted “on the citizenship in this, even if the level of incidence has been very highalthough the risk is very high, the forecast for the next few hours they are still extreme risk, very highto the point that the alert was reconsidered” and the red notice was extended in the province of Malaga“.
He therefore supported, according to information from AEMET and “according to the studies that we have prepared through our experts, this is still a situation that still presents great problems and complexities to be faced.”
Sanz once again sent a message to citizens asking them for “maximum alert and caution”. “The best ally that this emergency has today and has the 112 who coordinates in Andalusia “Emergencies belong to the citizens,” Sanz said.
The advisor indicated that “there was no no incidents with serious consequencesnor for the risk, life or health of people. Furthermore, he explained that “logically, at this moment our concern is the rain and the river beds” and assured that “the coordination is perfect.”
The advisor reiterated that “these are situations of extreme alert those that we currently have and those that we are experiencing and that is why I appeal to this responsibility”, thanking the citizens and the collaboration of all administrations.
“There remains a lot to do, it is not finished, the very extension of the red notice has 08:00 means a lot, it means that we can continue to live the situation that we have experienced”, but “with a novelty, that if we are in the zone of Guadalhorce Yesterday I told you that it rained when it was humid, today it can rain when it is very humid.
“The situation is even more alert and more extreme risk than yesterday”, because “obviously we all know that we do not have time to drain, that we do not have time to correct puddles, to overcome complex situations of flooding or overflowing of the canals… that if the rain comes now, it must catch us all ready to make decisions”, he declared, assuring that “it is preferable to speak like this, to speak clearly ; there is still difficult hours“, he concluded.
