The number of people affected by these incidents was reported to have decreased by 13.7 percent to 1,434 people. 520 of them were killed and 914 injured. 41 percent of incidents occurred during the day, 40.6 percent at night, 18.4 percent at dusk, and 29.1 percent occurred on Saturdays and Sundays.
86.5 percent of traffic accidents occurred in residential areas, the number of people killed as a result of these incidents decreased by 16.1 percent compared to the same period last year, to 381 people, and the number injuries decreased by 13.3 percent, to 851 people.
