More than 5,000 manats were stolen from the citizen’s credit card.
Imishli resident Khazar Aliyev says that despite the fact that he did not share his SMS or personal information, a large amount of money was withdrawn from his card account. Initially, the account had 2,000 manats.
According to the victim, the account was increased from 2,000 manat to 5,600 manat after he received a message on his mobile phone about the increase in the credit limit. Again, the amount was deducted from the account.
The Imishli resident, who said he had been a victim of cyber fraud, first turned to the bank but was unable to get any help from the bank.
Khazar Aliyev added that he had also complained about this matter to the local police station.
The Shirvan regional group of the Ministry of Interior’s Press Service (MIA) told Khazar Khabar that an investigation is underway at the request of the citizen.
