More than 90 Russian companies are represented at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which opened on Tuesday in Shanghai. TASS reports this.
According to the agency, the opening ceremony of the event, which took place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), was attended by the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. Li Qiang.
With the support of the Russian Export Center (REC), a large-scale exhibition of Russian companies was opened in a joint pavilion under the Made in Russia brand.
It is reported that many more new products from Russian manufacturers are presented at the current exhibition. In particular, jewelry, watches, cosmetics and other products.
“For Russian exporters, showing their products at the CIIE exhibition is a great opportunity to meet Chinese buyers or strengthen existing connections. And today we can safely say that for China the Made in Russia brand is a sign of quality. We see growing interest from both Russian companies and Chinese businessmen. If in 2022 29 companies were represented, last year 64 exhibitors already arrived, and this year Russia will be represented by 97 exporters.” – said the general director of the REC Veronica Nikishina.
In 2024, Russian manufacturers will also present confectionery, butter, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks of well-known domestic brands and other food products. In addition, the exhibition included cosmetics, dietary supplements, medical products, household chemicals and Russian souvenirs. High-tech solutions for industry and IT development are also presented.
