In Agjabedi, police officers found more than two kilograms of heroin in the hands of a drug courier.
Oku.Az reports that the Press Service of the Ministry of the Interior has published information on this matter.
Murad Mammadov, a resident of the district who had already been convicted, was reportedly detained as a result of operational measures carried out by officers of the Agjabedi district police department. More than two kilograms of heroin with a strong effect were found in his possession and hidden near his home. He said that he obtained the heroin from an Iranian citizen whom he met on a social network.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident, the aforementioned person has been placed in preventive detention by decision of the court and investigations are ongoing.
