Moroccan arrested in Palma for committing seven thefts from premises and vehicles in a community garage

The National Police arrested a Moroccan in Palma 36 years oldfor committing to seven flights the last month of September. Six of the thefts were committed with force, three in localtwo in interior of vehicles in a community garage and one in House. In each of them he used force and caused damage. The thefts took place on September 10, 25 and 30, two of them at dawn and the third in the morning. The three stores are located in the neighborhoods of Bons Aire, Pere Garau and Manacor Street and the thief gained access by using force, by forcing the gate with a crowbar or by breaking the windows.

While inside the establishments, he stole cash from the cash register, after breaking it, cell phones, tablets and even took a video surveillance camera.

The burglary of the house took place on the afternoon of September 28 and the now arrested person forced open the Mallorcan blinds and caused serious damage.

The National Police Robbery Group took charge of the investigation into these four thefts and succeeded in identifying the alleged perpetrator. Officers verified that this person had already been arrested three times in September and attempted to track him down. The whereabouts of the Moroccan citizen are unknown and he has no address, so it was decided a requirement for its location.

At the same time, the Judicial Police Group of the Central Police Station was carrying out two investigations into three thefts, including two with force inside vehicles parked in a community garage and one theft with violence against a woman in her seventies.

The two violent thefts from a vehicle were committed on the afternoon of September 24 in a community garage from the neighborhood of Father Garau. The man entered the garage and, using a crowbar, forced open the door of one of the vehicles and broke the window of another, gaining access inside.

The violent theft occurred on September 7, around 7 p.m., in a street in the Pere Garau neighborhood. A woman in her seventies was entering through the gate of the building where a relative lives and at that moment a man approached her, pulling hard on the bag hanging from his shoulder.

The woman, in a reflex, held her handbag to prevent it from being stolen and began to struggle violently with the thief, who with an even stronger and more violent grip managed to throw the victim to the ground, to take her purse and run away. .

The victim was injured and required treatment at a medical center. The bag contained cash, a cell phone, prescription glasses and a wallet containing documents and credit cards. He the thief attempted to make a payment with one of the stolen cards in a bar

Investigators managed to identify the alleged perpetrator, who turned out to be the same person wanted by the Robbery Group for the four thefts from premises and homes.

Last Thursday, around 4:20 a.m., in the Garcia Square and Orell from Palma, a plainclothes patrol from the Citizen Assistance Group of the National Police located the man and, after learning that he was wanted, proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of the events.
