The head of the DOM.RF analytical center, Mikhail Goldberg, suggested that mortgage rates in the country could drop next year. The expert especially clarified that we are talking about the fourth quarter of 2025. TASS reports on this today, November 12.
Goldberg’s opinion was expressed during the 18th Moscow Real Estate Market Leaders Forum.
“Even in the most pessimistic scenario, towards the end of the second half of the year, perhaps in the fourth quarter. [2025 года]there will be a decrease. But everything will depend on macropolitical factors.” – pointed out the analyst.
Mikhail Goldberg also highlighted the usual delay in monetary policy of at least two quarters. That is, the latest increase in the key rate will affect the real situation next year.
According to DOM.RF’s forecast, mortgage issuance in Russia for the entire year 2024 will amount to about 1.4 million contracts for a total amount of 5 trillion rubles, approximately 35% less than for the entire year 2023.
