“Russia hopes for a positive decision on the invitation to send a unit of the DPRK armed forces to Moscow to participate in the military parade on Red Square on May 9,” – the message said.
Cooperation and friendship between Russia and the DPRK “were strengthened during the liberation of Korea in 1945, in the battles of the Patriotic Liberation War of 1950-1953,” the Defense Minister said. Andrei Belousov in a meeting with the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. According to the minister, North Korea is today “one of the few countries that follows an absolutely independent foreign policy.”
Belousov arrived on an official visit to the DPRK on November 29. A series of bilateral meetings are planned with representatives of the military and political-military leadership of the republic, the Ministry of Defense clarified.
