A new episode of the show “Dream Time” has been released.
In this edition of the program, author and presenter Arzu Kalbi visited the grave of Shahriyar Guliyev, martyr of the Patriotic War.
He spoke with Khalida Guliyeva, the martyr’s mother, at the cemetery.
The author said that when the war had just ended, he was asked to help a boy selling napkins in Sumgait:
“When I went to the place where the boy was staying, I saw that it couldn’t be called a home. The boy lived with his mother and sister in a place that looked like a cart. His mother said that a boy saw him when her son was selling napkins in the street. He told her: “I don’t want you to sell napkins on the street. “I will support you from now on,” he says. According to A. Kalbi, after a long time, the boy does not come and sell napkins again:
“After a while, someone knocked on the door of the place where they lived. A lady came with a pot and said that it was my son who helped them, that he was a martyr. That boy was Shahriyar Guliyev, a special-purpose martyr who fought in the 44-day Patriotic War and sacrificed his life and blood.
Khalida Guliyeva, the martyr’s mother, said that her son helped the family a lot.
“Every time he received his salary, my son went to that boy. The boy hugged my son, as if he were hugging his own father. For more than two years, my son helped the family. Then he himself became a martyr.”
Even after the martyrdom of Kh Guliyeva’s son, support for the said family continued.
“Whenever there were events, that child also came and participated. Lately I noticed that it doesn’t come anymore. I went to them too. I saw that the child was sick, his legs were tied and he couldn’t walk. We help him again. Then one day we heard that the boy had died. We went to his funeral, Shahriyar said that he could not keep the child alive, that his spirit took him to heaven, – said the martyr’s mother.
