Mother of the martyr: “I wish I had nothing, only my son was alive”

Baku TV broadcast a report about the martyr of the Patriotic War Dashgin Agayev.

Dashgin Aghayev, a junior sergeant of the Azerbaijani army who was a martyr during the 44-day Patriotic War, was posthumously awarded the awards “For the Fatherland”, “For the Liberation of Fuzuli”, “For the Liberation of Jabrayil” and “For the Medals “Liberation of Khojavend”.

According to Narida Aghayeva, the martyr’s mother, who spoke about the memories she had of her son, Dashgin Aghayev loved his work:

“When he was a child, he was naughty and different from his friends. It was as if God was arranging his affairs everywhere. Since he was little he said that when he grows up he will be a soldier or a shepherd. He finished his military career. Then he was called to work in the army I told my son a lot that he quit his job. He didn’t agree and said no, this is the art I love.

The martyr’s mother said she did not know her son was going to war.

“After he went to war, he called us and informed us. We lost contact with him after October 20 and 21. The last time he spoke to me, he said that we had taken Zangila. Then we looked for him, but we couldn’t “They didn’t find him. You know, they were in neutral territory. Since the end of the war, his commanders found him and his other comrades-in-arms. His father also went to the hospital to look for him.”

Narida Aghayeva said she never imagined her son would become a martyr.

“When my son went missing, they gave me a Pirshagi number so I could call them and find out Dashing’s location. From there, they told me that my son and two comrades-in-arms had gone missing in the same direction. The fear I felt in that moment still doesn’t leave me, it fills me with panic. I wish I didn’t have anything, if only my son were alive.
