Oku.Az reports that this was stated by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, president of COP29, in the high-level session titled “Mobilization of law enforcement in the fight against climate change.”
According to him, the role of law enforcement was highly appreciated at COP28:
“We are trying to continue this at COP29. Our mission is clear. Environmental crimes, the impact of animal and marine life on climate change, taking action on the ecosystem. Without law enforcement agencies, it will be difficult to protect our natural heritage.
