“We have been tensely preparing for the COP agenda for a year. As Turkey, we offer humanity a just world. The world needs global cooperation.”
Oku.Az reports, this was stated by the Minister of Ecology, Urban Planning and Climate Change of Turkey, Murat Kurum, within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), held in Baku.
He said that more than 25 meetings were held with interested actors in the process of preparing the Strategy and Action Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change:
“More than 2,000 people from 180 different state, private, university and non-governmental organizations participated in the meetings. Gender balance was observed among the participants. 40 strategies and 129 measures were determined in cooperation with responsible and relevant institutions and organizations of the framework of the Plan of action.”
