The gardens of the Palau de la Música in Valencia host, from October 4 to 13, the Spanish Regions Fair. An initiative promoted by the Valencian Federation of Regional Houses of Spain, with the support of Valencia City Hall – which subsidizes the event to the tune of 10,000 euros – and the Generalitat.
The fair is open and free and is held in section XI of the Turia Gardens. The organization has developed an extensive program of activities for audiences of all ages, which includes cultural proposals, gastronomic demonstrationsregional music and dances, in a journey through all the richness and diversity of the different regions of Spain.
Likewise, there will also be calls specially aimed at children, with interactive games and shows for children. The objective, as its promoters explained, is to bring the different traditions and particularities of the entire cultural spectrum of our country closer to the public.
The Valencian Federation of Regional Houses of Spain is a multicultural entity, founded in 1950 by different associations, with the aim of publicizing and amplifying the activity of each of them, which motivated them to unite in the different celebrations that each center organized separately.
Currently, the federation is composed of fourteen associations and deploys a series of annual activities, both cultural and institutional, through which they publicize the festive, gastronomic, traditional and cultural customs of the different autonomous communities.
