American entrepreneur Elon Musk has not ruled out limiting his foreign travel following the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France.
“Maybe I should limit my travels to countries where freedom is ‘protected by the constitution.'” — he wrote on social network X.
This was his response to a post by one of the users who called on Musk to think about the consequences of his trips abroad due to the events in the United Kingdom, France and Brazil.
On Friday, a judge at Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered the suspension of social media platform X in the country.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov was arrested at Paris’ Le Bourget airport on August 24. The businessman’s arrest sparked widespread public criticism in many countries. Durov is suspected in France of ten crimes and criminal offenses, including complicity in the administration of an online platform for the purpose of illegal transactions by an organized group. No formal charges have yet been brought against him. Durov was released on bail on Wednesday evening.
