Billionaire Elon Musk is so actively seeking to become Donald Trump’s closest adviser that he has begun to irritate some members of his circle.
According to NBC citing sources, people in the circle of the president-elect of the United States claim that since Trump’s victory in the elections, Musk has been almost constantly present at the Mar-a-Lago residence.
He sits with Trump in all key meetings and calls, including a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week.
Some members of Trump’s circle are convinced that Musk seeks to become “co-president” by actively promoting his political ideas and recommending candidates. According to the publication, the businessman believes that Trump is indebted to him for the support that his social network X (formerly Twitter) provided to the presidential campaign.
Trump and Musk have repeatedly spoken positively about each other. In his election victory speech, Trump called Musk a “genius,” highlighting his extraordinary achievements, and recently tasked him, along with Vivek Ramasavi, with creating the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), a name that sounds like a popular cryptocurrency. with which Musk is associated. Last week, Musk actively posted photos from Mar-a-Lago and shared his views on X about deporting immigrants and cutting public spending.
