Liputan6.com, jakarta – The Deputy Chairman of DPP Nasdem Saan Mustopa said that the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK), which shared the national and regional elections schedule, could potentially violate the Indonesian state system of the administration.
“We do not have there (adding the burden of political costs), our principle is not. Our principle that the decision was earlier, once again, it has consequences regarding our state order, it will be more in ruins, ”Saan said in the parliamentary complex of Senyan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/7/2025).
Saan also emphasized the inconsistency of the Constitutional Court in decision -making related to the electoral system. According to him, the Constitutional Court previously confirmed the issue of elections, including through a decision entered in the 2019 elections.
“They have already decided in 2019, which regulates the elections in which the president, vice president, DPRI, DPDRI, province, regency and city DPRD, are a decision of the Constitutional Court itself,” he said.
In addition, he said that, despite the fact that the verdict was justified, the Constitutional Court still strengthened the intelligence principle and gave only alternative options, and not the separation of the schedule, as it was currently decided.
“Even when a lawsuit was filed against him again, the Constitutional Court also did not provide him instead, including election options held in 2019. We want consistency to be related to a very important issue, ”he concluded.
