There, dozens of agents of the National Police have established a security perimeter after a witness raised the alarm while observingpossible presence of two armed men “flying in the area.”
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., when the person who alerted the police may have mistaken a tripod or a “selfie stick” for the handle of a weapon, forcing the National Corps to deploy a large machine in the area.
As usual in this type of event, it rained many messages on social networks with different videos, which helped several users to launch their own theories. Some publications even reported that two men were being held inside the Corte Inglés.
But nothing could be further from the truth. After inspecting the entire enclave, including the building of the commercial giant in Preciados and other surrounding establishments, the uniformed agents ruled out such an extreme. It was therefore a false alarm.
