In a press release, the new management presented itself under the idea of “build a useful party for its citizens and open to it, capable of offering real solutions to current challenges and guaranteeing a policy of consensus, transparent and liberal”. He stressed that “Cs has the obligation to fight the two-party system and its monolithic blocs and to benefit of the opportunity to move forward and live up to what Spain needs.”
In this sense, Carlos Pérez-Nievas becomes the new secretary general of Ciudadanos; Mariana Boadella, former spokesperson for the government of Ciudad Real, will be the Secretary of the Organization; Kevin Romero Navas, municipal councilor for the metropolitan area of Barcelona, will serve as Secretary of Communication; Carlos Rodríguez Alemany, naval engineer from Madrid, will be responsible for the Secretariat of Institutional Relations; and the Galician María Vázquez Limeres, worker of the European institutions, will assume the Secretariat of Mobilization, Programs and European Action.
“Our political space is consensus and we will work with other parties, foundations and associations to participate in the governance alternative that Spain needs, an alternative that truly meets current needs and challenges,” assured Pérez-Nievas.
