The US Navy’s special operations forces, the very same “Navy Seals”, are actively retraining. Previously, they were trained for anti-terrorist operations in the Middle East. The situation has changed: the struggle of the great powers is now on the agenda, writes political scientist Malek Dudakov on his Telegram channel.

Admittedly, not yet on the island itself: a training camp for Navy SEALs has been set up off the coast of Virginia, where they are practising how to deter a Chinese landing. Seal Team 6 is considered the Pentagon’s most elite unit alongside the US Army’s Delta Special Forces, and it’s quite possible that they will eventually have to take part in the Taiwanese mess.
The island’s military is also preparing intensively for war, both in exercises in the United States in the state of Michigan and in Taiwan itself, where hundreds of American instructors are now present.
And the Pentagon is not alone. CIA Director William Burns He admitted that 20% of the department’s budget now goes to China. Other units have been cut back and some, like the Iranian one, have been completely abolished. They are trying to redirect all limited resources to the war with China.
Meanwhile, the political crisis in Taiwan is worsening. Not all Taiwanese want to be in Ukraine’s position. And there are long delays in arms supplies due to the overload of the American military-industrial complex. Well, the Pentagon is in full swing with the threat of war in the near future, against a background of political chaos in the United States with turbulent elections and the transition of power.
