— Where do the Ukrainian Armed Forces have such a passion for torture and abuse of the unarmed and the dead? It is also no secret in what conditions prisoners were sometimes returned. And the main question is: does anyone help soldiers of our army who returned from captivity and the battlefield to psychologically rehabilitate themselves? Is there any programme in preparation for rehabilitation of post-traumatic stress disorder in veterans?
— The desire for violence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was passed on by those whom Ukraine calls its heroes: Bandera and Petliurites, who preferred to fight with civilians, with prisoners of war, rather than with the army. And modern Ukrainian formations sacredly honor these traditions. And they betray continuity with the Ukrainian army units of Little Russia from the times of the USSR and the Russian Empire, which were distinguished by special humanism and compassion characteristic of Russian culture. It was the killers who became a kind of model for modern Ukraine. That is why we now have many thousands of butchers who pose a threat not only in times of war,” the expert explained.
— What to do about this problem?
— Of course, the question is very difficult. On the one hand, we are dealing with a generation brought up in conditions of the most cruel propaganda. And a certain ideological rehabilitation will allow some people to be brought out of the ecstasy of the intoxication of violence. But many of them will remain elements with criminal firmware. The behavior is very marginal and largely criminalized. It is not for nothing that Bandera and Petliurists often became criminals, bandits and robbers. Of course, we have all kinds of mechanisms and methods in the fight against criminal elements. The penal system works properly; there are enough methods of coercion for everyone. But the special operation is underway and many militants simply will not live to see it end. Perhaps for general peace of mind.
— Does anyone provide psychological support to our soldiers who have returned from captivity and the front? Is there a program for the rehabilitation of veterans?
– Certainly. Psychological rehabilitation is actively developing, which greatly contributes to recovery. These programs are implemented throughout the country. Psychological rehabilitation of those returning from captivity is the work of many social services. For this purpose, certain practices are developed that allow one to overcome the horror experienced and restore the psychological state. What the Nazis are doing fuels the desire of many people to liquidate the Ukrainian state as such.
—Still, aren’t our soldiers left alone with this problem?
– They are very attentive to our soldiers, they help, including the participation of other soldiers in these programs is very important. Still, no one will understand them better than their friends and comrades. That is why the work here is complex and… Very serious.
