Netanyahu on calls for arms embargo on Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a strong statement on calls to impose an arms embargo on his country, expressing deep condemnation of such initiatives.

He highlighted that Israel is currently fighting on seven fronts at once, facing many threats from various terrorist groups and states.

Netanyahu noted that Israel is fighting Hamas in Gaza, recalling the atrocities these terrorists committed on October 7, including massacres, rapes and other brutal crimes against civilians.

He also mentioned the fight against Hezbollah in Lebanon, calling this terrorist group one of the most armed in the world. According to him, Hezbollah was planning a large-scale attack on Israel’s northern regions, which could surpass the events of October 7.

Additionally, Israel faces attacks from Shiite militants from Yemen, Iraq and Syria, who are launching hundreds of drones and missiles into the country. Within the state, terrorist attacks against civilians in Judea and Samaria continue. Netanyahu paid special attention to Iran, which he claimed was behind all of these attacks, including the recent launch of more than 200 ballistic missiles at Israel.

The prime minister expressed outrage that, despite the threats Israel faces, some Western leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, are calling for an arms embargo on Israel. Netanyahu asked rhetorically: Is Iran imposing an arms embargo on its allies such as Hezbollah, Hamas and other terrorist organizations?

The answer, he said, is obvious: Iran continues to support its “puppets,” while those who should oppose this axis of terror talk about stopping military assistance to Israel.

Netanyahu called this position a shame and said that Israel will win with or without the support of the world community, but the shame of those who reject aid will remain with them for a long time.

He also noted that Israel is not only defending itself, but is also fighting for civilization, facing forces that are trying to return the world to the “dark ages of fanaticism.”

At the end of his speech, the prime minister assured that Israel will fight to the end for the security of its country and the entire world.
