A father from Zagatala says his 3-year-old autistic son was subjected to violence at the rehabilitation center.
According to Vafa Hasanova, the minor’s mother, the employee who provided her with child rehabilitation training abused her daughter:
“I looked out of the window and saw that he was hitting my daughter on the leg. I called the centre. They said that we would take action. In the evening, the director of the centre called me and told me not to talk about this anywhere, we will sort it out. When we looked at the footage, we saw that not only Khadija’s knee, but she was also slapped.”
The director of the rehabilitation centre, Sevinj Mammadova, told Baku TV that as a result of the investigation by the relevant institutions it was concluded that there was no criminal element in the incident:
“However, the child’s mother called me and threatened me that if you don’t pay, we will share the images and shame you.”
