The team behind the popular messaging app WhatsApp has announced the launch of new features to improve video calling. In the coming weeks, users will be able to personalize video calls using various filters and virtual backgrounds.

The new filter set offers a wide range of visual effects similar to Instagram filters. Available options include Warm, Cool, Black and White, Dreamy, and more. For those who want to change the video background during a call, WhatsApp offers dozens of virtual backgrounds that allow you to hide distractions or simulate different settings.
Background options include a blur feature to hide the surroundings, as well as virtual environments such as office, sunset, forest, and even vacation themes.
These new features will be available during both individual and group video calls. Users will be able to select the desired effects by tapping the corresponding icon in the upper right corner of the screen. “WhatsApp” will introduce the new feature to all users in the coming weeks.
