The update has already appeared in WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.24.19.14. Testers of this version were able to create links to join calls that can be shared in group chats. It allows users to join calls at a time that suits them by simply clicking on a link.
Currently, the feature is only available on Android devices and only in the beta version of the messaging app.
