Newly appointed judges sworn in at Supreme Court

The next session of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on November 20, 2024.

Oku.Az informs that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the meeting Ilham Aliyev The inauguration ceremony of 34 judges appointed to the courts of first instance by Decree dated November 19, 2024 was carried out.

Chief Justice Inam Karimov congratulated the new judges and wished them success in their future activities. The president spoke of the work done to increase the authority of the judiciary and advised the new judges to always hold high the title of honorable judge, to be fair, honest and responsible.

The judges were then invited to the stand to take their oaths. In accordance with the requirements of the Law “On Courts and Judges”, they swore that they will administer justice in full accordance with the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, impartially and fairly, preserve the independence and dignity of the judge and act. in a spirit of respect for the name of the supreme judge.

The newly appointed judges received a special judge’s uniform and a service card.

Later, newly appointed judges Javanshir Nabiyev and Aytekin Ibrahimova spoke and promised to justify the great trust placed in them and to respect the principles of justice.
