The speculation is currently feverishly referred to one or another candidate, charisma is compared, and theological views are recorded. But one thing should be sure: there will be no second Francis. This has nothing to do with the fact that the Argentine was not popular. On the contrary, his commitment to the poor and world south, his modesty and his sympathy made him a special dad. Also to the one who tried to adapt the Catholic Church to spiritualization.
But his desire for reform had restrictions: consecration on women could not be with him, and not marriage for everyone, including strange people. According to his will, even a blessing for homosexuals, which Francis gave his blessing, was allowed to resemble a wedding ritual. Obviously, he did not remain to remain for the processing of sexual violence in Catholic institutions than prayer several times.
Nevertheless, reforms, especially at these three points, want both Catholic female organizations and homosexual associations, and people who were subjected to violence from Catholic dignitaries as children and adolescents. You have all the rights, not only because the issues of equality. But because today’s world is no longer sweet in 1950.
Regardless of the fact that everyday life will collapse in Catholic institutions, all women working there will hire their work, there are outstanding theologians, which, of course, can become priests. Just like strange people have the right to marry each other, with all the rights and obligations that have heterosexual couples. The victims of abuse should finally receive compensation for the suffering of suffering, and criminals are responsible. In short: Francis has just neatly initiated the reform process. It is unlikely that it can be expected that this will continue.
On the contrary, we can expect the next dad to become a conservative bone that leads the Catholic Church to the world (back), since he would like to have most of the cardinals earlier than later: without women and actors and a strange lottery, with the families of father-mother and male power that stands above everything.
This would turn the Vatican and the Catholic Church on the world just passed – in relation to autocrats, the power of a stronger, toxic male hybrid, far from the requirements for equality, solidarity, humanity. In any case, the number of conservatives of the architects for reactionary cardinals that can be selected is not low.
