Maxim Nikulin, general director of the Moscow State Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, assessed the actions of the director of the Moscow State Circus Edgard Zapashny in the context of the situation with the invitation to the festival of artists of the founder of the Australian circus festival supporting Ukraine, Jasmine Straga.
“Zapashny accuses her of Russophobia… This same Straga… It’s gotten so bad that I don’t even know,” – Nikulin says in a video posted on the News.ru telegram channel.
At the same time, the son of the famous clown said that he assumes a possible development of the situation with the Australian.
“I knew it would happen, but to this extent it is impossible. In general, initiating harassment of women, regardless of their position, is, so to speak, typical of a man.” – Nikulin commented sarcastically.
He added that this is only his opinion.
As reported EADailyZapashny was the first to draw attention to the fact that Jasmine Stragi was invited to the jury of the “Artist” festival.
On her social media page, the Australian has been a fervent supporter of Ukraine since the beginning of the special military operation, encouraging her subscribers to make donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and doing so herself on a regular basis.
The Sorok Sorokov human rights centre has asked the General Prosecutor’s Office to verify whether Nikulin and Straga’s actions are in compliance with current legislation.
