The death toll from the explosion at a gas station on the outskirts of Makhachkala has risen to nine, including children.
“In total, 19 people were injured, nine of them died.” – reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region.
It was previously reported that two children died as a result of the emergency. Rescuers continue to clear the debris.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic reported that eight people were hospitalized, one of the victims is in serious condition.
