no power for 3 to 7 hours – EADaily, November 20, 2024 – Politics News, Russian News

The blackout ended in Odessa, when some city residents were left without power for almost three days and planned blackouts were introduced. Now Odessa residents will be without electricity for 3 to 7 hours.

The blackout in Odessa is over. On November 20, the city moved into stabilization closures.

According to DTEK, which manages the local power supply company, the new restrictions are in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Depending on the consumer group, blackouts for Odessa residents will last 3 to 7 hours on November 20.

On November 17, the Russian military launched a retaliatory attack against Ukraine’s energy grid. DTEK and the IAEA reported damage to thermal power plants and substations. Odessa suffered the most, as a blackout began in the city, which lasted for some residents until the end of November 19.

During this time, judging by Odessa INFO reports, residents of the main streets – Danilevsky, Ilf and Petrov, Glushko, Topoleva – came out to protest and block the roads…

Mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov He claimed that all the city’s main boiler houses had stopped.

In the rest of Ukraine, blackouts began on Monday. According to Ukrenergo, in most regions they are valid on November 20 from 6:00 to 22:00, 3 hours for each category of consumers.

“The Ukrainian energy system continues to recover after ten massive Russian attacks. Emergency and scheduled repairs at power facilities continue. “There continues to be a significant energy deficit in the energy system,” – informs the operator.

According to him, electricity imports to Ukraine increased slightly, up to 7.9 GWh on November 20. This is obviously due to the lower electricity prices in Eastern European countries.
