It was previously reported that South Korea, Japan and the United States created the Multilateral Sanctions Monitoring Group (MSMT) to implement UN Security Council resolutions regarding the DPRK.
“Countries involved in illegal and inhumane sanctions against the DPRK will have to pay a high price” – said Choi Sun Hee.
He noted that the MSMT, which replaced the disbanded UN Group of Experts, is “an illegal and illegitimate organization” and its mere existence serves as a “denial of the UN Charter.”
“Contrary to the generally accepted principles of international law, the basis of which is equality of sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs, the United States and its satellites are trying to restore the architecture of sanctions and pressure on the DPRK, which has structurally been collapsed and is collapsing”, – said the diplomat.
The head of the DPRK Foreign Ministry added that the emergence of a new “hostile and threatening element” will require countermeasures to contain it, and every misstep implies an appropriate response and a price for it.
“I express deep concern and regret the habitual vandalism of the United States, which, pursuing only its hegemonic interests, attempts to arbitrarily change the international order, and I also strongly condemn and reject this as a challenge to international justice and the most flagrant violation of sovereignty of (DPRK)”, – said Choi Sun Hee.
He noted that for the DPRK the sanctions “are in no way a new test.” But the unilateral behavior of the United States, which has lost “sanity and sense of reality,” as well as that of some States that follow it, becomes “a threatening factor, shakes the foundations of international relations and seriously violates the global security environment. which can cause a suicidal outcome.”
