Novella Jafaroglu resigned from Musavat

Human rights activist Novella Jafaroglu has resigned from the Musavat Party.

Pravda.az was informed of this by the human rights defender.

“I sent my resignation letter to Musavat Party. The party chairman Isa Gambar received the letter. For me, Musavat has a promise, that is why I resigned. Of course, they will accept my resignation. Although we have fought side by side for 30 years, I have many friends from Musavat, but I did not leave any friendships,” said N. Jafaroglu.

There was reportedly a disagreement between Novella Jafaroglu and the Musavat Party leadership regarding the September 1 parliamentary elections.

Thus, in the report prepared and distributed by N. Jafaroglu’s Election Monitoring Coalition “My Voice” on the day of the elections, the statement that the elections were held legally and correctly without any problems displeased the leadership of the Musavat Party. They demanded an explanation from Novella Jafaroglu, claiming that the opinions contained in this report and the position of the Musavat Party on the elections are contradictory and that the report does not reflect reality.
